Pawprints on the Heart: Animal Stories from Grey-BruceĀ is exactly that, a collection of stories for every pet owner.
Dr. Debbie Boyde from the Owen Sound Veterinary Clinic, put out a call for short stories to celebrate the human animal bond in order to publish a book to raise funds for the Farley Foundation. The accepted stories were published by The Ginger Press in Owen Sound with the foreword by Lynne Johnston, the author of For Better or For Worse and the creator of the lovable Old English Sheepdog, Farley.
The Farley Foundation helps to cover unexpected veterinary expenses for those in need. For more information or to make a donation, please visit the Farley Foundation website.
In her short story, A Palpable Thrill, Dr. Donna Curtin shares the angst and turmoil of a veterinary student determined not to fall in love with a big eyed, soft eared dog whose heart may be weak, but whose spirit is anything but.
